While we don't have any mandatory requirements at this time, the following can be used as a guide when planning to deploy Screenly Anywhere.
- This generally works better using TVs manufactured from 2016+.
- It is ideal if the browser supports WebAssembly (Wasm).
- Standard, high-speed internet should be used, as it's a web player.
- If using Samsung, the minimum Tizen version is 2.3 (however, we've only tested with modern, commercial hardware using 6.0+).
- If using Android or Google OS, the minimum version is 5.0 (however, we've only tested with modern, consumer hardware using 11.0+).
- If using LG, we've seen the most success using modern webOS versions (we've tested internally with consumer hardware using webOS 24+).
- If your content consists primarily of dashboards or other heavy web content (Power BI, etc.), we recommend using physical hardware players (our Player Max offers the most robust experience).
Ultimately, we suggest aiming for the most modern TV that is feasible for your organization. Older models/versions can run into edge cases that may require some additional investigation and delay your implementation.
