The Site Rendering Method is a feature for Screenly Anywhere that allows you to have more control on where your web content is being served (client vs. server). There are three options available:
Auto: This is the default option every player uses. It will render from the player for hardware players, and use screenshots from the server for Anywhere screens. More details on those two options are below.
Render on Player: This will rely on the player for the heavy lifting when rendering web content. If you are having issues with your web content using Anywhere (white screens, etc.), try switching to this option to see if it improves.
Screenshot from Server: This is the standard option for web content when using Anywhere, and leverages our screenshot service. This works by taking a screenshot on the server right after the website DOM is loaded, then sending it to your screen. It is lightweight on the client, however, it does not wait for other elements to load. This could possibly lead to white screens or issues with your web content not showing fully. This option is only available with Screenly Anywhere.
To find these options, log in to your web console, click on the Content menu, select your web content, then select Advanced.
