The Linked Workspaces feature allows enterprise users to connect multiple child workspaces under a single parent workspace. The parent workspace centralises billing and screen license management, distributing available licenses across all linked workspaces.
Note: To link existing workspaces that already have a subscription, please reach out directly to Screenly Support for assistance.
1. Creating and Linking a New Workspace
Step A: Create the New Workspace
- Log in, and ensure you are in the parent workspace.
- Click Workspace from the top menu, then select New Workspace.
- Enter a name for the new workspace. (Optional: Add team users at this stage).
- Complete the reCAPTCHA verification and click Create.
- The dashboard will automatically load into your newly created workspace.
Step B: Link the New Workspace
- Switch back to your parent workspace.
- Navigate to Settings > Linked Workspaces.
- Click Link Workspace.
- Select your newly created workspace from the dropdown list and click Link Workspace to confirm.
Your new workspace will now automatically draw screen licenses from the available pool in your parent workspace.
2. Unlinking a Workspace
To remove a child workspace from your parent billing pool:
- Go to Settings > Linked Workspaces.
- Locate the workspace you want to disconnect and click the three horizontal dots next to its name.
- Select Unlink.
3. Managing Subscriptions and Licenses
A. Overview & License Utilisation
To review your account’s billing and license status, navigate to Settings > Linked Workspaces > Billing & Subscription.
This page provides two key areas of information:
- Subscription Details: View your current Plan, Account Status, Next Billing Date/Amount, and the registered Billing Contact Email.
- License Utilisation: Monitor how licenses are distributed across your workspaces. This section displays your Total License Pool, Assigned Licenses, and Available Licenses.
Click Export to download a CSV file containing a full breakdown of all linked workspaces and their respective license usage.
B. Modifying Your Subscription
To scale your account, update payment details, or change contact information:
- Navigate to Settings > Billing & Subscriptions.
- Click Manage Subscription > Update Subscription to add/remove licenses, change plans, or update your billing profile.
