For this guide, we'll be setting up a Samsung Commercial TV with Screenly using our Tizen App. In this article, we'll be using a Samsung QM50C running on Tizen OS 7.0 as the reference model.
- Power up your TV and press the Settings button on your remote control. On the System tab, scroll down and select Play Via > Custom App.
- On the Home screen, select the App Management icon, and go to Install Custom App > Enter URL. Enter in https://tizen.srly.io and press Go. The app should begin installing and launch upon completion.
- You should now see a PIN code. In your web console, click + New > Screen > Screenly or Screenly Anywhere. Enter a name for your screen and the PIN code to complete the pairing process.
- Your screen is now paired, and you can add this to a playlist to display your content.
Tips and Tricks
- To Auto-Launch The App on Power On: Settings > System > Auto Source Switching > Auto Source Switching > New Input > Default Input > Custom App.
- To Auto-Power On: Settings > Power Control > Auto Power On.
- To Adjust Auto Power Off: Settings > System > Power and Energy Saving > Auto Power Off > Off.
- To Change to Portrait Mode: Exit The App > Settings > Display Orientation > Source Content Orientation/Onscreen Menu Orientation > Portrait.
