How to connect your screen to Screenly

Screenly works with several types of hardware. Choose the option that matches what you have.

No hardware needed. Screenly Anywhere runs entirely in a browser, so you can connect any device you already have — PC, tablet, smart TV, Fire TV, iPad, ChromeOS, and more.

  1. On the device, open a browser and go to anywhere.screenlyapp.com. A PIN code will appear.
  2. Enter the PIN in the dashboard to complete pairing.

Screenly Player

The easiest option. Screenly Players ship pre-configured. Just plug in and pair.

  1. Connect the player to your display via HDMI and power it on.
  2. Connect to your network via Ethernet or WiFi.
  3. A PIN code will appear on screen.
  4. Enter the PIN in the dashboard to complete pairing.

Raspberry Pi

Build your own player using a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5. Requires flashing a microSD card with Screenly OS.

  1. Flash Screenly OS to a microSD card.
  2. Insert the card, connect the Pi to your display via HDMI, and power it on.
  3. Connect to your network via Ethernet or WiFi.
  4. A PIN code will appear on screen.
  5. Enter the PIN in the dashboard to complete pairing.

Android TV or Android Device

For Android-based smart TVs (e.g., Hisense), tablets, and other Android devices.

  1. Open the Google Play Store, search for Screenly, and install the app.
  2. Open the app. A PIN code will appear.
  3. Enter the PIN in the dashboard to complete pairing.

Samsung Commercial Display (Tizen)

For Samsung commercial displays running Tizen OS. No extra hardware needed. The app installs directly on the TV.

  1. On your display: Settings > System > Play Via > Custom App
  2. Go to App Management > Install Custom App, enterhttps://tizen.srly.io, and press Go.
  3. A PIN code will appear on screen.
  4. Enter the PIN in the dashboard to complete pairing.

LG Smart TV (webOS)

Uses the built-in web browser on LG webOS TVs. No app installation needed.

  1. On your LG TV, open the Web Browser app.
  2. Go to anywhere.screenlyapp.com. A PIN code will appear.
  3. Enter the PIN in the dashboard to complete pairing.
