To change the account owner, please follow the steps below:
- Log into your web console as the current owner.
- Go to the Settings > Team page.
- Find the team member who should be the new owner. If they are not already listed, then add and invite them as an admin level user, and have them confirm the email invite to join the team.
- Click the three small dots at the end of the line of the team member who should be the new owner.
- Select Change Role.
- Select the Owner role.
- Follow the steps to complete the change.
If you are unable to have the current owner login, or the current owner has left the organization and no one has access to their Screenly login, or to their email (to do a password reset), then we will need to perform an account verification for security to process this change. Please get in contact with our support team by sending a message to support@screenly.io, or by logging into your web console, clicking the ? icon in the top-right, and selecting Contact Support. Please include in your subject line "Account Owner Change Request - No Access To Owner Email". This will expedite the request.
