When the Power BI integration is enabled in Screenly, it only accesses reports that are explicitly shared with the owner's connected Power BI workspace. The integration follows Microsoft’s permission structure, so Screenly cannot access data from other Power BI workspaces unless those workspaces have been intentionally shared with your Power BI account.
What does “Workspace-level: shared across your workspace” mean?
- Only dashboards and reports from the connected workspace are available.
- Access to Power BI workspaces are controlled by the workspace owner.
- Screenly does not have global access to your organization’s Power BI environment.
Ultimately, this means individual Power BI workspaces can be blocked by simply not sharing or granting access to the Screenly workspace owner, since the workspace owner is the only one who connects to the Power BI Integration.
