Yes, this can be done. The option to power on automatically will need to be manually changed in the BIOS at this time.
Steps to enable:
- Connect a USB keyboard to the player.
- Unplug the power cable to the player.
- Connect the power cable to the player, hold down the F2 or DEL button on the keyboard, and press the power button. Once the BIOS screen appears you can release the F2 or DEL button.
- Using the arrow keys on your keyboard, move to the Chipset or Advanced menu tab.
- Press Enter, then change "State" or "State After G3" to S0.
- Move to the last menu tab on the right, and select the option to Save and Exit.
Depending on your BIOS version, you may also need to take the following steps to accomplish this:
- Using the arrow keys on your keyboard, move to the Boot menu tab.
- You will see an option for "Auto Power" here. Enable it by pressing enter on this line, moving to the enable option with your arrow key, and pressing enter again.
- Move to the last menu tab on the right, and select the option to Save and Exit.
That's all!
