Screenly sends a screenshot request to each of your digital signage players every 5 minutes. The screenshot captures the media content that is displayed on your screen, and this screenshot is then displayed on the View Screen page within your online Screenly account.
If you see a screenshot of your uploaded media content, this event indicates that your screens are functioning normally.
If you see a screenshot of a black screen, this event indicates that your screens are malfunctioning and are displaying a blank screen. To address this problem, please submit a ticket to Screenly Support.
If you see a screenshot with the text “Screenshot not available” on a black background, this event indicates that your screens have yet to display any content, or has just started showing content very recently and have not had a chance to send a screenshot. In this case, please confirm a valid playlist is assigned to your screen, and give it at least 5 minutes.
