Below are the most common reasons for the error that reads "Unable to connect on port 80" when you try to pair your screen.
Are you able to get an IP address?
You should be able to see an IP address and MAC address in the center box just below the PIN code. If you do not see any IP address (i.e. "IP: N/A"), you will not be able to get a PIN code. If you do not see an IP address, here are some things to check:
- Is the device properly connected to the network? If you are using a wired connection, you should check that the orange LED below the Ethernet port is lit. If this LED is not lit, this means that there is something wrong with the cables.
- Is your DHCP server working? If the orange LED is lit and you still do not see and you still do not see and IP address, the next common cause of this is that the device is unable to get an IP from the DHCP server. In some environments, you need to whitelist the MAC address in order to obtain an IP from the DHCP server.
- If you are using a static network configuration, double check and make sure that the file is properly configured.
If you are able to get an IP but are still getting this error, the error is likely related to either a firewall configuration or incorrect network configurations.
