If you're getting the error "Unable to connect on port 80" when you try to pair your screen, these are the most common reasons.
Are you able to get an IP address?
You should be able to see an IP address in the center box just below the PIN code, along with the MAC address. If you are not seeing any IP address (i.e. "IP: N/A"), this will prevent you from getting a PIN code. Here are some things to check:
- Is the device properly connected to the network? If you're using a wired connection, you should see the orange LED below the Ethernet port should be lit. If it isn't, this means that there is something wrong with the cabling.
- Is your DHCP server working? If the orange LED is lit and you still get this, the next common thing is that the device is unable to get an IP from the DHCP server. In some environments, you need to whitelist the MAC address in order to obtain an IP from the DHCP server.
- If you're using a static network configuration, double check and make sure the file is properly configured.
If you are able to get an IP, but are still getting this error, it is likely related to either a firewall configuration, or incorrect network configurations.
